Court Dismisses All Charges Against Boeing Whistleblower, Gerald Eastman

King County Court dismissed all charges against Boeing whistleblower,
Gerald Eastman last week. That was the good news. Boeing defied the
court ordered end of the deferred prosecution agreement, and continued
to demand another interview after the drop-dead date of Mr. Eastman’s
agreement he signed after the mistrial. Boeing demanded this interview
be held about a week after the ending date of the agreement, and also
ignored the court ordered return of copies Boeing had made of Mr.
Eastman’s personal hard drives. For more information about all of
this, visit Mr. Eastman’s site:

Now that the Boeing Company just about ruined Eastman, they can move on with impunity to ruin another Boeing employee. Boeing should be fined and fined big for the damages caused to Eastman. Someone at Boing should go to jail.

    Thank you for your comment.

I would echo a bunch of somebody’s need to be held accountable for the outrageous actions against a person who was just trying to do his job responsibly and who believed his company, once they knew there were problems would want to stop the illegal and unethical activities and fly right.

As with many whistleblowers, little did he imagine what that would bring down on his head, as he worked his way through the reporting process available to him, to find that the corruption was at all levels. Finding out your highest management is not only aware of the corrupt activities but appears to condone and possibly even direct them, is a hard thing to learn.

Fortunately for all of us, Mr. Eastman remains stalwartly committed to trying to force oversight to work and the problems addressed for the sake of anyone who must fly, passengers, crew, and military. That is what a backbone made of courage and principle offers.
