I realized I had 97 views of this page today, 9-9-10, and upon looking at it saw it had oddly developed some problems. I have reposted it to make it readable.  As I recall this occurred after a notice I had read regarding executive increases in pay.  Hence the title I gave it.   GFS

SPEEA, Boeing’s Wichita affiliate which represents Boeing Engineers in Kansas, just accepted the company’s terms for a new contract, deciding to bow to Boeing management refusal to move from its original position.  It sounds like while giving Execs continuing pay raises, the company refuses to negotiate in good faith with its other employees.

SPEEA accepts Boeing Wichita contract

The white-collar union representing 688 Boeing engineers in Wichita, Kan., today accepted the company’s terms for a new contract.

The white-collar union representing 688 Boeing engineers in Wichita, Kan., today accepted the company’s terms for a new contract.

In a vote earlier this month, members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) had for a second time rejected the terms offered. However, they also ruled out a strike to try to force Boeing to offer more.

In talks following that vote, Boeing refused to budge on the contract offer.

In a statement, the union said it made the “difficult decision” reluctantly after the negotiating team concluded there was “no desire from Boeing to move from its hard-liner stance.”
